The Koke Creative Team

Jeff Koke, Principal and Creative Director
Jeff Koke began designing professionally in 1992, while working as an editor for a game book publishing company called Steve Jackson Games. He received a bachelor's degree in English from Texas State in 1989 and a Master's in English from the University of Texas in 1995.

He transitioned from editing to design at about the same time that the Internet began to take off, mid-1994, and promptly fell in love with all aspects of design. His first "pure" design job was with his future partner's fledgling Internet marketing company, Saper Media Group. He worked for Jeri (see below) for 18 months before being lured away by the venture capital backed "internet bubble."

Jeff spent the next 3 years as Creative Director for two enterprise software companies, SMART Technologies, which was purchased by i2 in 1998, and Motive Communications. Many of Jeff's closest colleagues are people he worked with at SMART and Motive.

Jeff left Motive in 1999 to join the Knowledge Capital Group and run their creative services and design practice, Mindshare Marketing. He did extensive branding, marketing execution and design work for technology companies from all over the country, as well as design and execute the company's own marketing collateral, Web site and other materials.

In July of 2001, Jeff left KCG to form Jeff Koke Design, which became Koke Creative in 2004, when Jeri Saper reconnected with Jeff and they became partners.

Jeff lives in southwest Austin with his wife Angela, daughter Alexandra and son Carson.

Jeri Saper, Principal and Director of Client Services
Jeri Saper began founding, managing and marketing businesses in 1982. As an entrepreneur and a business owner, Jeri has run several professional services businesses and prides herself in providing exceptional customer service. Jeri believes that the key to excellence begins with a thorough understanding of a client’s business, business strategy and goals and objectives and continues with direct and regular communication. Her organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that projects stay on track, on time and on budget.

Jeri was Principal and Founder of Austin-based internet marketing firm Saper Media Group. In 1999, SMG was acquired by Canadian internet professional services firm Cyberplex where Jeri was the General Manager of the Austin Production Center. In these roles, Jeri was responsible for new client development,account direction and project management as well as management of a team of Web and print designers, project managers, account managers and software developers.

Jeri lives in Northwest Austin with her husband Paul. They have two sons. Their eldest, Jake, is a recent Yale graduate and works for Katzenbach Partners in New York. Craig is a student at USC.

Angela Koke, Client Relations and Business Manager
Angela brings to KC a strong accounting and legal background and manages business operations and client relations. Angela graduated summa cum laude with a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University at San Marcos. She became certified shortly thereafter and worked for five years as a financial analyst for the state’s Comptroller of Public Accounts. Angela then went back to school and graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. Thereafter, Angela practiced with Vinson & Elkins and Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee in the area of municipal project finance representing state and local governments and private developers in the area of tax-exempt affordable housing. Angela, along with husband Jeff and daughter Alex, enjoys training in Tae Kwon Do and playing trains, planes and automobiles with her son, Carson.
